The beat + that funky guitar riff + Solange’s breathy vocals that take me to another land where it’s 72 degrees and there’s a warm breeze and I’m wearing a crop top and shorts and I’m sipping on my raspberry Juice It Up Shake. This song is giving me so much joy right now. 

I also really love when an artist can take a song and totally reinterpret it and make it their own. Solange for the win. I’m still so bitter I didn’t go see her when she was in Boston for 20 dollars, but life goes on.

Outfit of the Day - April 25th: Springtime Is Here! One Skirt Two Outfits

Can I just say how wonderful it is to be able to walk around with skin showing once more? I will never take the sun for granted again. I will never bemoan the hassle of shaving my legs again. I will never complain about heat or sweat or tanlines or anything that has to do with sun ever again. My only gripe is that it’s only getting warm now…and school is about to get out anyways! 

This skirt and jacket were two of the items I bought from the thrifting trip I did over spring break (the one where I got the JCrew shorts for 5 dollars. It’s a day that’ll go on for ever in my memory). I wore the skirt with a white blouse for a casual Easter look, then I twisted things up and rocked it with a bandeau for something a bit more scandalous! I didn’t even think it was that scandalous though, since I AM wearing a jacket on top so the only real skin showing is a bit of my midriff, but I digress. I just had fun styling that bright yellow skirt different ways : ) Hiphiphooray for versatile attire. 

I like making silly faces
I don’t like studying for finals
I do like soaking up the sunshine and the weeks I have left as a freshman with the friends I made this year : )
